Synopsis

Prince of Tennis Seishun Academy has one of Japan's top middle school tennis teams, and freshman phenom Ryouma Echizen just enrolled with one goal: making the regular lineup. As the son of legendary player Samurai Nanjirou, Ryouma's determined to step out of his old man's shadow and prove he's the better player. He's got the skills to back up his cocky attitude, but his teammates aren't convinced he's earned a starting spot yet. The real challenge comes at the end of the year when Seishun aims to reach the National Tournament. First, they have to qualify by winning the Kanto Regionals. With Ryouma on board as their flashy new recruit, the team feels ready to take on whoever stands in their way. Still, they'll face plenty of tough rivals who could derail their championship run, so everyone's going to have to bring their best game.
