Synopsis

Negative emotions can manifest as actual monsters in the world, and only special people called "Sweepers" can destroy them and restore peace. Kyuutarou Horikita is a second-year student at Kurokado High School who comes from a family of Sweepers, though his classmates just think he's a moody guy obsessed with cleaning. While exploring the old school building, he discovers Fumi Nishioka, a transfer student who's been living rough with no real home. When Kyuutarou's family finds out that Fumi can actually fight monsters born from negative energy, they offer her a place to stay as their live-in housekeeper and decide to train her as an apprentice Sweeper. But there's more to Fumi than meets the eye—she's got some kind of latent power sleeping inside her, and there's a sinister organization willing to go to great lengths to weaponize it for themselves.
