Mushi-Uta
Mushi-uta is set in the near future, about ten years after mysterious insect-like creatures called "Mushi" first appeared. These creatures have an unsettling ability—they eat people's dreams and memories in exchange for giving them supernatural powers. The story follows Daisuke Kusuriya, a teenager known as Kakkou, who meets and gradually bonds with a girl named Shiika Anmoto. What Kakkou doesn't realize is that Shiika has escaped from GARDEN, a secret facility that imprisons people infected with Mushi, known as Mushitsuki. When GARDEN's military branch, the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office, sends out their best assassin to recapture her, they run into opposition from Mushibane, a resistance group working to free the Mushitsuki. The organization is led by a mysterious figure called Ladybird.
