During the war, people with magical abilities were forced to power magical tanks by biting enchanted plates. Even after the fighting officially stopped, rogue tanks continued destroying everything in their path. Nina spent years trapped in this system, her magic drained to fuel a tank meant to combat the very same rogue machines. By the time she escaped, she was homeless and desperate enough to steal food just to survive. That's when she literally bumped into a group of girls operating their own tank. Instead of turning her away, they brought her home. These girls make up "Rabbits," a private tank squad protecting their town from the rogue machines. Given everything Nina's been through, she understandably didn't trust their kindness at first. But they proved themselves genuine, and Nina joined their ranks as the squad's newest member—ready to put her considerable power toward defending people instead of being exploited.
