Sanae Yamamura graduated from the Department of Oil Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1989 and their School of Fine Arts in 1991. She is married to Koji Yamamura and works as an assistant animator on his films. She also creates her own artwork which has been exhibited in Japan and is a producer at their studio Au Praxinoscope.
