UVERworld is a Japanese rock band that's best known for their anime tie-in singles, particularly the Bleach opening "D-tecnoLife." The group currently has six members, though they started out in 2003 with seven under the name Sound Goku Road, playing the indie circuit and selling around 3,000 demo copies before streamlining their lineup.
The band signed to Gr8! Records in 2005, and "D-tecnoLife" immediately broke through, hitting number 4 on the Oricon charts. Things only picked up from there—their debut album Timeless featured the returning saxophonist Seika, and they scored their best chart position (number 3) with the Blood+ opening "Colors of the Heart." They've kept a steady output since then, releasing Bugright in 2007 and Proglution in 2008, with over 25 singles and 8 studio albums under their belt as of 2015.
