A Japanese animation and theatre director best known for his work at SILVER LINK, where he's helmed most of the studio's major productions.

He started his career as an animator at OfficeAO before joining SHAFT in 2004, where he became Akiyuki Shinbo's trusted collaborator. His directorial debut came in 2007 with Ef: A Tale of Memories. After leaving SHAFT in 2010, he moved to SILVER LINK and quickly became their go-to director—his first project there was Baka and Test, which launched him into prominence at the studio. He's remained a central figure in SILVER LINK's output ever since, often serving as director or chief director across their catalogue.
