Kamimura Yasuhiro is a 2D designer best known for his work handling the business side of anime production rather than the creative side. He's been around since the early days—he was at Daicon3 back in 1981 alongside people who'd go on to found Gainax, and he eventually joined the studio himself. Before that, he spent a few years in NTT's research department. At Gainax, he mostly dealt with the legal and copyright stuff, though he pitched in creatively from time to time.
In 2010, he and his wife Kamimura Noriko left Gainax together and founded Groundworks, a company handling licensing, copyright management, merchandise, and related business for the Evangelion franchise and Studio Khara's anime. Yasuhiro took on the role of representative director.
Off the clock, he's a serious anime geek who collects Gunpla kits and hoards them in his garage.
