Kousuke Sugimoto is a Japanese filmmaker who studied journalism at Doshisha University before teaching himself video and animation production and launching a freelance career. He's known for blending drawing animation, 3DCG, motion graphics, and live-action to create music videos with strong visual-audio synchronization. His personal projects like "the TV show" and "Sing in my own way" have picked up festival recognition internationally, and he placed as a runner-up at the Tokyo Anime Awards in 2010.
Starting around 2014, he began working with European studios. He directed the video animation for the 3D classical concert "Vivaldianno 2015," which toured across the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, and other countries, drawing over 200,000 viewers. In 2018, he founded Studio12 Inc. in Tokyo.
