Li Hu is a Chinese web novelist best known for Fights Break the Sphere (Doupo Cangqiong), the xianxia epic that blew up online in 2009 and made him one of the most recognizable names in Chinese web fiction. He's an award-winning author and ranks among the top 85 most famous writers in the Chinese Writers Association.
His work has proven consistently adaptable—three of his novels have been turned into manhua, donghua, and live-action screenplays, which speaks to both the popularity of his stories and the strength of the source material itself. Fights Break the Sphere in particular spawned multiple adaptations and remains his signature work.
