Born in Tokyo in 1992, this animator studied visual communication design at Musashino Art University before pursuing animation at Tokyo University of the Arts, graduating in 2018.
The breakout project was "My Little Goat," completed as a graduate thesis work. This stop-motion piece cleaned up at major festivals—winning the Excellence Award at SHORT SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL & ASIA 2019, the Grand Prix at Paris International Fantastic Film Festival, plus recognition across Poland, Germany, Morocco, and Argentina. It immediately established them as one of the most promising names in puppet animation.
Before landing a full TV series, they directed the ending animation for "Kedama no Gonjiro" (2019, TV Tokyo). "Pui Pui Molcar" marks their debut as a TV anime director.
