Otome Shinto was a female idol group that formed in December 2012. Their debut single, "Mousou★Koukan Nikki," dropped in February 2013 and served as the opening theme for the anime GJ-bu. The group's early lineup featured Yurika Takahashi as leader and Ayame Tajiri alongside original members Aoi and Chika.
In a major roster shake-up on July 5, 2014, Aoi and Chika graduated, and four new members joined the same day: Mari Aihara, Mayu Ogata, Arisa Sonohara, and Airi Hasegawa. This refreshed lineup picked up work on the ending theme for Ai Tenchi Muyo Friday. Yurika and Ayame also handled vocal duties on the opening for Jinsei.
The group disbanded on July 3, 2016.
