Japanese writer and director known for his work across games, anime, and manga. He's probably best remembered for scripting the first three Final Fantasy games and handling the series composition and primary writing duties on the beloved romantic comedy anime Kimagure Orange Road. Beyond that, he worked on Batman: Dark Tomorrow, created the concept for the Sega CD game Dark Wizard, and wrote a Sonic the Hedgehog manga adaptation.
