Born in Tokyo in 1989, Ryotaro Miyajima spent much of his childhood in Bali, Indonesia before returning to Japan for his education. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a degree in Intermedia Art in 2015, then went on to earn a master's in Animation from the university's Graduate School of Film and New Media in 2017.
