Miyazaki City native who spent years as a producer at NHK, Japan's public broadcaster. She's best known for creating Digital Stadium starting in 2000—a show that became a launching pad for aspiring filmmakers—and organizing the Digital Art Festival (DAF) Tokyo around the same time. From 2010 onward, she shifted focus to weekday educational programming, collaborating with Professor Masahiko Sato on the series 2355 and 0655 for NHK Educational TV. She also founded TECHNE: The Visual Workshop for Studying Filmmaking in 2012.
