Hatsune Miku
The first Vocaloid2 software released by Crypton Future Media as part of their Character Vocal Series, Miku became the most famous Vocaloid ever made—and the first to actually achieve pop idol status. Her name combines hatsu (first), ne (sound), and miku (future), literally meaning "the first sound from the future." The voice bank was created by sampling voice actress Saki Fujita's vocals.
