Younger sister of Kai Yukiko (one of Post Year 24 Group) and ex-assistant of Hagio Moto. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, she was involved in the yaoi doujinshi movement, having co-coined the term "yaoi" with Sakata Yasuko.
