Shiro Amano is best known for his manga adaptations of the Kingdom Hearts series. He's worked as a character designer on various Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy projects, including multiple entries in the Itadaki Street franchise, and has illustrated novels for Breath of Fire IV and the Kingdom Hearts games themselves. His art has also appeared in the Kingdom Hearts artbook collection and he's contributed to other projects like Super Deformed Gundam and Lord of Vermilion.
Back in 2015, Amano stated that his Kingdom Hearts II manga would be his final adaptation of the series—but fans weren't surprised when he went on to launch Kingdom Hearts III in 2019 anyway.
