Kajishima got his start at Join Studio after finishing up at Osaka Design College. He was a big fan of Kenichi Sonoda's work, which inspired him to head to Tokyo and join AIC's "Gall Force" production team. From there, he established himself as a freelancer at AIC and basically became the driving force behind the entire "Tenchi Muyo!" franchise—he's best known for creating and developing that universe.

His most recent anime project was "Tenchi Muyo! GXP," and he's also been involved in production work on "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki" OVA3.
