Toshiko Hata is an independent animator, illustrator, and writer. In 2009, she graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts Department of Crafts Textile Arts, and in 2011, their Graduate School of Film and New Media Department Of Animation. She specializes in stop motion animation, and her works have been screened at art festivals around the world.
In 2016 along with Yuuhei Takahashi, she established the production studio ANGLE.
