Mitsuo Terada, known better as Tsunku♂, is a music producer and writer. His own fame was achieved as the vocalist of SharanQ. He later created Morning Musume and was subsequently the sound producer for all Hello!Project groups until his health took a turn for the worst.

In 2014, he was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer and had his vocal cords removed a year later when his treatment failed.

He is married to former model Idemitsu Kanako, and has three children with her. As of 2016, he and his family moved to Waikiki, Hawaii while he travels occasionally back to Japan for work.
