Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Sunahara made his name as an original member of the Japanese technopop outfit Denki Groove before striking out solo in 1999. His debut album "LOVEBEAT" became a genuine crossover hit, gaining traction not just domestically but internationally—it saw release through labels across Japan, Germany, and beyond.

Beyond music itself, he's proven remarkably versatile. Sunahara has produced scores for films and commercials, worked as a DJ, dabbled in art direction, and gotten involved in film production. He's basically done it all in the electronic music and multimedia space.
