Born in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan with blood type B, Takashi Oosugi built a career that drew on his genuine love for music and sports. He was the kind of guy who could pick up a guitar or harp and play blues just as easily as he'd kick a soccer ball or catch waves—surfing and tennis kept him active too.

He passed away on February 21, 2018, at age 66.
