Takami Akio is an animator, animation supervisor and character designer. He was originally a member of Ashi Productions. And later he joined the now defunct XEBEC shortly after it's establishment, where he participated in most of Xebec's works, as a animation director or character designer. In 2018, he was appointed as a director at XEBEC. After the disbandment and sale of XEBEC to Sunrise, it is unclear who his current employer is, he was credited as a animation director for "Gundam Build Divers Re: RISE", which was produced by Sunrise Beyond Co., Ltd, a studio established with the assets from XEBEC.
