Mika Seike is an independent animator based in Japan. She's best known for her contributions to the Thinking and Drawing and Tokyo Loop anthologies, and has built a career showing her work widely while teaching at various universities.
What's interesting about Seike is that she came to formal training relatively late. Despite years of professional experience in animation, she decided to go back to school and enrolled in Tokyo University of the Arts' Graduate School of Film and New Media, specifically their Animation Department, in order to get a proper degree in art. She graduated in 2016.
