Birthplace: Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan
Toshikatsu Wada studied law at Waseda before landing at the advertising giant Dentsu in 1991—a move inspired by his admiration for animator Tadanari Okamoto's work. Over his career, he's worked on projects across NHK's children's programming, including Petit Petit and Minna no Uta, alongside commercials and short films.
Beyond client work, Wada is involved in the animation community as a member of both the Japan Animation Association and the Japan Society for Animation Studies. He teaches at Tokyo Zokei University and founded the independent Kakio 24 Animation Studio, where he continues to pursue his own projects.
