Blood Type: B
Tooya Matsuri broke into manga in September 2003 with "Tenshi no Tamago" (Angel's Egg), which ran in the monthly magazine Nakayoshi. The title has nothing to do with the famous anime film of the same name, despite sharing it.
She's best known for Gokkun! Pūcho, which Tokyopop picked up and released internationally as Pixie Pop. All her work comes out through Kodansha and tends to land with preteen and teen girls, which is pretty much her core audience.
Her taste in manga leans toward comedy and slice-of-life stuff—she's cited Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Katteni Kaizou as favorites.
