Harutsugu Fukushima
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture as Harutsugu Fukushima (福島治次), he became a prolific figure in Japanese animation during its formative decades.
He's best known for his long association with NHK's Minna no Uta, where he animated 11 shorts between 1970 and 1999. Beyond that, he founded the animation studio Anime-ya and was part of the animation collective G9+1, establishing himself as both a creator and industry organizer during a crucial period for anime development.
