Kazuki Takahashi is best known as the creator of Yu☆Gi☆Oh!, the massively influential manga series that spawned trading cards, anime, and basically became a cultural phenomenon. His work defined a generation of manga and gaming fans.
On the morning of July 6th, 2022, his body was discovered floating off the coast near Nago City in Okinawa Prefecture. He was wearing snorkeling equipment at the time. He was found around 10:30 a.m.
