This actor is best known for his live-action work, particularly his role as Inspector Megure in the Detective Conan TV adaptation. He's also appeared in several other notable live-action projects, including GTO: The Movie and the Nodame Cantabile TV drama, where he played Hajime Tanioka.

Outside of live-action, he voiced Kouroku in the anime film Princess Mononoke. He also took on the role of Ushijima in the radio drama "Radio no Jikan."

Around 2009-2010, he was involved with the live-action adaptation of the manga Saru Lock, which generated some buzz—a trailer dropped in December 2009, followed by a 5-minute clip in January 2010. He was also connected to English-dubbed Soul Eater videos that circulated online during that same period.
