Cyrille Thouvenin
Born May 15, 1976 in Mont-Saint-Martin (Meurthe-et-Moselle)
French actor and author who's built a career bouncing between theater, TV, and film since the mid-1990s. He's best known for the TV movie Juste une question d'amour, where he played Laurent, a young gay man navigating family rejection while trying to live out his relationship openly—a genuinely groundbreaking role that made him the first to bring a gay love story to prime-time French television.
His film debut came with Ilan Duran Cohen's La Confusion des genres, which earned him a César nomination in 2001. Since then he's worked with some solid directors: Emmanuelle Bercot, M. Night Shyamalan, Josée Dayan, Virginie Sauveur, Joe Wright, and Jeremy Podeswa among others. He's maintained that habit of splitting his time between stage and screen throughout his career.
