Uchida Kenji is the president of Sunrise, one of anime's most influential studios. Born September 8, 1953, he's been a key figure in shaping the studio's output for decades.

He got his start as a producer in 1980 with Muteki Robo Trider G7, and from there helped shepherd many of Sunrise's biggest projects—particularly various Gundam series and other major anime productions. His work has essentially defined a huge chunk of what Sunrise became known for. In April 2008, he was promoted from managing director to president, a position he's held since.
