Brigitte Elaine Burdine
Brigitte Elaine Burdine was a voice-casting director best known for her work on major video game titles including World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Xenosaga II, Tales of Symphonia, and Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. She served as head director for SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation.
Before breaking into gaming, Burdine had a career in acting and modeling. She moved to Los Angeles in 1980 at eighteen and appeared on popular TV shows like CHiPs and Hill Street Blues, along with various film roles. In 1999, she transitioned to the video game industry as a casting director and founded BB Casting, which went on to handle voice casting for major publishers including Electronic Arts, Sony, Microsoft, and Activision.
On December 29, 2010, Burdine was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver at 1:45 AM while walking home on Culver Boulevard in Playa Vista, California. She left behind a legacy as an inspiration to women in the gaming industry.
