Shidara Hiroshi got his start in entertainment through a drama degree at Nippon University, then joined Toei's Kyoto office right out of school. By 1962, he'd moved over to Toei Douga, where his animation work began showing up in credits around 1965—he's best known early on for his contributions to Uchuu Patrol Hopper.
