She's best known for voicing Haruka Suzumiya in Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (the game and anime), where she also wrote and performed the soundtrack. Her single "Precious Memories"—the opening theme for the anime—hit #17 on the Oricon charts and stuck around for 13 weeks, giving her real visibility in the industry. Since then, she's lent her voice to games and shows like Muv-Luv, Chrono Crusade, My-HiME, My-Otome, and School Days.
Beyond solo work, she's been part of several group projects. She performed with Wild 3nin Musume alongside Joy Max and Kisho Taniyama, and briefly formed the duo exige with Chiaki Takahashi (who went by CT. Veronica in the group).
Professionally, she went by the name Minami from January 2016 to August 2019, then switched back to Minami Kuribayashi on August 3, 2019.
