Kitazume Hiroyuki is an animator and mangaka who's had a pretty rough ride in the industry. He founded Pack in the early '80s with some former Bevore staff, then started Atelier Giga in 1987. Both studios ended up tanking after the anime "Relic Armor Legaciam" flopped hard—the project left him buried in debt. To dig himself out, he joined Anime International Company (AIC), where he worked for several years before going freelance around 2004. These days he regularly collaborates with Sunrise on various projects.
