Hiroaki Inoue is an anime producer and the Representative Director of Oniro Co., Ltd. He's been teaching as a professor in the Animation Department at Kibi International University since April 2014.
He started his career in the early 1980s, working production at Tezuka Productions before moving through Magic Bus and MK COMPANY. In December 1984, he co-founded GAINAX and rose to vice president—though internal disputes eventually drove him out in August 1989. From there he joined Anime International Company (AIC) as a producer and went on to establish his own company, Oniro, where he's served as representative director ever since.
Beyond production work, Inoue chaired the executive committee for the 65th World Science Fiction Convention in 2007, held at Pacifico Yokohama. More recently, he produced AIC's "Ai Tenchi Muyou!" through the Kibi International University Animation Department, which ran from October to December 2014.
