Chris Lewis was born in China and grew up in North Carolina with a Chinese mother and American father. He got his start performing in middle school and later joined the comedy troupe Pineapple-Shaped Lamps while in college, doing the live comedy circuit around the Southeast—including stops at major conventions like Florida Supercon.

Since 2017, he's been based in Los Angeles working primarily as a voice actor, though he's also got stage and film experience under his belt. He's a member of the sketch comedy group Folks Next Door on the side. His voiceover work includes games like Wasteland 3 and Beyblade Burst Rise, as well as anime series including Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun! and Ascendance of a Bookworm.
