Synopsis

A mysterious virus wipes out everyone over 13, and vampires—who'd been hiding all along—seize the opportunity to take over. They position themselves as humanity's saviors, offering protection in exchange for blood donations from the survivors. Yuuichirou and Mikaela are among the kids trapped in this system, imprisoned alongside other orphans they consider family. When Mikaela tries to organize an escape, the plan falls apart. Yuuichirou is the sole survivor and gets rescued by the Moon Demon Company, a Japanese military unit dedicated to hunting vampires. Years later, Yuuichirou's joined the Imperial Demon Army and is obsessed with avenging his found family. But the path to revenge forces him to confront what he's willing to sacrifice—and tests his bonds with the people fighting alongside him through seemingly impossible battles.
