Synopsis

This story brings together two of Leiji Matsumoto's most iconic characters: Maetel, Tetsuro's mysterious black-clad companion on the Galaxy Express, and Emeraldas, the legendary pirate captain from the Captain Harlock universe. The narrative opens with a flashback showing the two women facing off in a duel—Maetel in her signature black coat and fur cap, Emeraldas striking in her red jacket and cape. Both share Matsumoto's trademark long blond hair. From there, things escalate quickly. Emeraldas intercepts the Galaxy Express, forcing it to land on a desolate planet, and takes both Maetel and Tetsuro captive. The rest of the story unfolds from this tense encounter.
