Synopsis

Baki Hanma was born into fighting. His mother, Emi Akezawa, trained him from childhood, drilling martial arts techniques into him and pushing his body to its limits. Everything he did was in service of one goal: becoming strong enough to finally face and defeat his father, Yuujirou Hanma—a man known as the "Ogre" and widely considered the strongest person alive. Eventually, Baki outgrows what his mother can teach him. He strikes out on his own, hunting down tougher and tougher opponents to test himself against. Through these brutal encounters, he forges genuine friendships and discovers new ways to push past his limits. As he grows stronger in both body and spirit, the inevitable confrontation with his father draws ever closer.
