The thing is, she's not particularly skilled—she just has this inexplicable ability to draw attention wherever she goes. Stuck in a cycle of doubt about her own worth, everything changes when she meets the Mekakushi-dan and finally finds a community where she actually belongs. Children Record tells the darker backstory of the series. Years ago, a heat-haze phenomenon started appearing and dragging people in, cursing them with red eyes and supernatural abilities. Problem is, these powers are as much a curse as a gift, bringing suffering rather than salvation. But despite the pain and despair, these affected kids keep moving forward, searching for hope.
