Synopsis

Ataru Moroboshi isn't much to write home about—a total pervert with an inexplicable talent for getting into ridiculous situations. His legendary bad luck usually works against him, but it saves his skin when Earth gets invaded by aliens called the Oni. Earth's fate comes down to a single duel between Ataru and Lum, the Oni leader's daughter. The catch? It's tag, not combat. And Lum, who cares more about her pride than winning, makes an easy target. Ataru strips her bikini top and claims victory. Then his bad luck flips on him again. Lum overhears Ataru mentioning his girlfriend Shinobu and somehow decides he's actually proposing to her. She likes the idea enough to move in. Now Ataru's stuck juggling an increasingly furious Shinobu, a clingy alien princess who won't leave, and his compulsive need to chase literally every woman he encounters. His life becomes complete chaos.
