Synopsis

Gokuu Son is a boy living alone in the woods until Bulma crashes into his life searching for the Dragon Balls—seven magical objects that supposedly grant one wish to whoever collects them all. Bulma's dream is modest: she just wants a perfect boyfriend. Gokuu has one of the balls, but he won't give it up, so Bulma cuts a deal. He can come with her on the hunt if she gets to borrow his dragon ball. And so their adventure begins. They're not alone for long. They eventually team up with Muten-Roshi, a martial arts master, and Kuririn, an eager student training under him. Gokuu joins their training to get stronger and prepare for the World Martial Arts Tournament. But the Dragon Balls attract more than just Bulma's romantic hopes—other people want them too, and they're willing to use that wish for far darker purposes. So the group dedicates themselves to training, becoming stronger fighters not just for the tournament, but to protect others from those who'd abuse the Dragon Balls' power.
