Synopsis

Japan establishes Tokyo Butei High in response to rising crime—an academy where "Butei," or armed detectives, train to become justice-dealing mercenaries. Kinji Tooyama, a antisocial sophomore dropout, was once part of the school's combat-heavy Assault Division but now keeps a low profile studying logistics. He's hiding a powerful ability he finds embarrassing. His quiet routine gets disrupted when the "Butei Killer" targets him, and that's when Aria Holmes Kanzaki—an emotional, outspoken genius prodigy—saves his life. After witnessing what Kinji's actually capable of, she forces him to become her partner.
