Synopsis

In 1600, two legendary swordsmen clashed at the fog-shrouded battlefield of Sekigahara. One was Kyoushirou Mibu, a noble warrior blessed with the mystical powers of the Mibu Clan. The other was "Demon Eyes" Kyou, a ruthless killer known for slaughtering a thousand men, marked by his blood-red eyes and hair. Their battle was cut short when a meteor suddenly crashed down, and both warriors vanished without a trace. Four years later, Samurai Deeper Kyou picks up the story. A bounty hunter named Yuya Shiina tracks down Kyoushirou, who's now living as a lecherous traveling medicine-man and drowning in debt. When they're attacked by a monstrous creature intent on devouring him, something awakens—Kyou himself. The "Demon Eyes" swordsman has been trapped inside Kyoushirou's body the entire time since Sekigahara. From here, the two must navigate their shared existence while uncovering the truth about what happened that fateful day.
