Synopsis

A thousand years have passed since the Universal Century and the legendary pilots like Amuro Ray and Char Aznable. Humanity's abandoned Earth's surface for space colonies and lunar settlements, leaving the planet mostly empty. Things change fast for Bellri Zenam, a cadet at the Capital Guard Academy, when pirate pilot Aida Surugan gets captured along with her mobile suit, the G-Self. The moment Bellri touches it, he realizes he can pilot it—and that he has some kind of strong connection to the machine. This discovery throws him right into conflict with the Capital Guard, a shadowy military faction operating under its own agenda despite nominally answering to the Amerian Army on Earth. Bellri and Aida end up joining the crew of the Megafauna, an Amerian warship, where they pilot the G-Self against the Capital Guard's leadership: the charismatic Colonel Kunpa Rushita and the mysterious Captain Mask. What started as an ordinary academy life becomes a battle for control of the entire system.
