Synopsis

Future Card Buddyfight is set in a high-tech version of the modern world where a popular card game has a surprising twist—certain rare cards can actually open portals to a parallel universe. When activated, these cards summon monster creatures that cross over to Earth to form bonds with human players. Players use these monsters as partners in Buddyfights, competitive card battles meant to be fun and harmless. The series follows Gaou Mikado, a beginner just getting into the scene, as he discovers that these battles might be becoming way more serious and dangerous than anyone thought.
