Synopsis

Centuries ago, witches started marrying their shape-shifting familiars, and their offspring became ogres. Morihito Otogi is one of these half-ogres—he looks completely human, but he's got the supernatural strength that comes with his heritage. He grew up with Nico Wakatsuki, a young witch, but when she reached school age, she had to leave for the Witches' Holy Land to complete her training. They didn't see each other for years. Right before Morihito starts high school, Nico comes back home with a plan: she wants to make him her familiar. Most witches bind themselves to cats or bats, but Nico's got her eyes on Morihito—and her feelings run deeper than just the familiar-witch bond. Morihito doesn't quite catch on to what she's really after, but one way or another, they end up living together while both his parents are away. He's hesitant about the whole thing at first, but he comes around. Now he's trying to help Nico readjust to normal life and keep her safe from whatever dark fate is supposedly heading her way.
