Morihito Otogi is Nico's childhood friend and familiar—an ogre from the Otogi clan, one of the last surviving ogre families. He's the type who comes across as completely expressionless and dead serious no matter what's happening around him, though people who know him understand he's genuinely dependable.
His stone-faced demeanor isn't a natural thing; it's the result of lifelong training. He's said that during a fight, you can't let your opponent read your emotions. That same discipline has given him an almost supernatural ability to stay positive and roll with things—bad luck and frustration just don't seem to touch him the way they do other people.

He gets weirdly obsessed with specific things like denim or marbles, and he's meticulous about them in a way most people find bizarre.
